Reggae Dancehall artist D’yani is breaking the mold, and expanding his range of hits with the new XTM Nation produced Live A Likkle. This XTM.Nation release by Kareem ‘Remus’ Burrell is in fact a continuation of the legacy set out by his father Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell, who had a similar ambition of mixing older traditions within the sounds and narratives of the music with a fresh perspective. D’yani is a singer songwriter from Spanish Town, Jamaica who has set himself apart using his remarkable vocal range and writing ability. With hit songs like Ride It, Pity, Style and most recently Reminisce with DJ Verg, the young artist is blazing his own trail in the Jamaican music space. Mixing traditional reggae dancehall sounds with the classic R&B soul style, not to mention a pinch 80s blues, D’yani has created a sound that is unique to himself while maintaining the sonic legacy of musicians who have gone before.
