DJ Jahmar returns with his midas touch for the Book of Micah Riddim series a full project of heavy-hitting, infectious dancehall reggae anthems. It is sure to be a golden addition for DJs and influencers who crave that authentic Jamaica dancehall feel that every country on the global music market continues to borrow elements from and emulate in their style and sound.
Leading the project’s rollout is Edley Shine’s (Founder of Born Jamericans) “Broken Dolly” – a sonic soap opera talking about the exploits of a Dolly: Caribbean for beautiful women with enhancements and attributes, and the go-getter money-motivated attitude included.
Music Video Release: The Broken Dolly official video will be released with the single on August 14th. Shot on location in Port Royal, Jamaica, DJ Jahmar and Edley Shine’s visuals tell the story of the Broken Dolly with authenticity and storytelling that captivates and brings the listener closer to the story.
DJ Jahmar plans to release other singles and visuals for the Book of Micah Riddim, with visuals for Wasp – “Remember” already in the can, and plans to shoot reels and visuals for other standout songs including: Guiney Peppers (“Never Stop”), Mega Banton (“No Chill”), Bramma (“Something About You”), Singer J (“Wine For Me”), and introducing Hollywood mk (“Toxic”). Each song brings a different flavor to the riddim without compromising its grass-roots approach to Dancehall authenticity.
