– Roots reggae singer Iba Mahr brings the heat in his latest lovers rock release, “Stole My Heart.” The first single and video from his upcoming album, due summer 2024, has him teaming up with producer Man KhEm Music.
Throughout the spring, Iba Mahr has been on tour with Heavyweight Rockaz in the United States, and recently finished their east coast leg, with the west coast portion picking up May 11th in Austin Texas with various dates in New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington, before heading back to Washington DC and Atlanta in early June.With Rastafari as his inspiration, roots and culture is always what he promotes, along with social commentary and soulful-reggae love songs that speaks out to the hearts of people, those in love or out of love.
The artist had this to say about the new single:
“‘Stole My Heart’ is a common term being used to express the extent of one’s love for his/her partner. It’s so funny because, I know based on the depth of the conversation and also the tone being used, a lot of people might be curious if it’s a first hand experience but, yes & no.. LOL. As creatives we draw concepts and ideas from our friends, family and own relationships tho. I observe my circle. It’s not always my life but we put it into music.”
