Intence, one of modern dancehall’s most electric voices, is back with “Like U,” the third single from his upcoming debut album, VOYAGE. First premiered on May 20 with a technicolor video by Shane Creative – watch HERE – “Like U” breathes new life into Richard “Shams” Browne’s blockbuster “Orgasm” riddim. The song arrived on all digital platforms on May 24 via VP Records. Listen HERE

Intence’s new song finds the Kingston, Jamaica native head over heels for a woman, dropping lines that veer between irreverence and charm. Produced by Nuh Brakes Records, the updated version of the “Orgasm” riddim will, for many, call to mind dancehall hits like Mr. Vegas’ “Girls Time,” Lexxus’ “Full Hundred,” and Beenie Man’s (a.k.a. Ras Moses) and Bling Dawg’s (a.k.a. Ricky Rudie) “Circumstances,” and others from the late-’90s juggling.

The song arrives amid the latest swell of momentum for Intence. He experienced a career surge with “Lesson” and “Year of Gear,” VOYAGE’s first two singles, which flowed into the success of his Countree Hype-produced track “SHH,” one of the year’s fastest rising dancehall anthems.

VOYAGE, which drops later this year, will serve as Intence’s debut studio album. It follows 2021’s Public Enemy No. 1 Mixtape and Wounded EP.
