– Tad’s International Records Presents ‘Reggae Party Time Riddim’
One of the great jams in Reggae history ‘Party Time’ by The Heptones has rocked dances for over 55 years. It is the driving force behind Reggae Party Time Riddim, a 22-song album released by Tad’s International Record.
The album is produced exclusively for Tad’s Record by Tad Dawkins Jnr. It contains songs by several top artistes including Tanya Stephens, Ginjah, Richie Spice, Jesse Royal, Kelly Shane, Chezidek, Fantan Mojah, Warrior King, Hezron, Ginjah, and Kumar Fyah.
Ginjah starts his 2025 campaign with ‘Sweet Like Sugah’, a lovers’ rock ballad that embellishes his new image as a lover’s rock artist. Hezron, who enjoyed a strong 2024, contributes ‘We’ve Made It’ while Tanya Stephens does ‘Some Kinda Madness’. Both Kelly Shane and Jessie Royal really delivered a superb contribution to the project on their individual tracks.
Not to be left out are the veterans and aspirants. Representing the former are Anthony Red Rose with ‘So Wrong’, while Khalia represents the fresh faces on ‘Devil in Disguise’.
The horn intro helped make Reggae Party Time Riddim timeless. Fitting then, that Dean Fraser, Reggae’s premier saxophonist, has an instrumental track on Reggae Party Time, titled, ‘This is Happiness’.
