Platinum selling producer Toddla T joins forces with Jamaica songstress Jada Kingdom resulting in a love song like no other.
Heralded as ‘Jamaica’s voice of pain’ and freshly signed to Diplo’s Mad Decent record label, Jada has taken the island by storm, recently achieving both #1 and #2 spots on the YouTube trending chart.
For Toddla T, entering a new season of his life both professionally and personally, the essence of ‘Happy Place’ is inadvertently spot on.
TODDLA T says “It’s quite timely where I’m at in my life right now with a new chapter in many ways not just professionally but with family and my mental state, I truly am in a happy place; so the timing is unintentionally correct, natural vibes!
I’ve been a fan of Jada for a long time. We finally got together at my West London studio last year and wrote the song from scratch with Adrian McLeod, it flowed so easily. I love the sentiment of the song, it’s a beautiful message and the chords compliment that.”
JADA KINGDOM adds “Toddla has great vision musically and he’s been supporting me from day one so it was a natural fit when we got in the studio to make music. Hopefully one day I will be able to understand his accent!”
